It's Your Community. Get Connected.
The Santa Clarita Valley Binky Patrol Chapter is in need of blankets. We're an ALL volunteer, national, non-profit organization making and distributing homemade blankets to children born HIV+, drug-addicted, infected with AIDS or other chronic & terminal illnesses, those who are abused, in foster care or experiencing trauma of any kind. Our recipients are from 1 day-18 years of age.
Economic demographics, race, social status play no role in the decision of who gets binkies. We simply check our local area shelters, hospitals, emergency foster care and other agencies to see who has the need we can help fill.
OUR CHAPTER REQUEST:
Help us make blankets!!! We call these 'Binkies'. Binkies can be sewn, knitted, crocheted, or quilted. The only requirement, the blankets need to be at least 3' square, soft, washable, all pins removed and that they come from the heart.
We're always looking for new volunteers...sewers and non-sewers alike!
It's fun and easy to make no sew fleece Binkies:
