There is nothing more that I hate than poor customer service. Especially in this economy, businesses need to step it up a notch and run a tight ship. If sales are down, customer service better be priority. Businesses need to push their employees into action and make sure they know customer names, and have a smile on their face when they great customers. Too often people are afraid to talk to the managers or complain about service. If no one ever says anything, managers will never know. Sales beg…

There are over 80,000 registered voters in the City of Santa Clarita and, if past trends hold true, only about 15% of them will vote in the City Council election on April 13th. I truly believe that the low voter turnout is not because people don't care, it's because we lead busy lives, often going in 100 directions at once, and many people think their vote doesn't make much of a difference.
I know you're busy but if you think that your vote doesn't count--you're wrong.

Over 150 years ago, Charles Darwin developed an evolutionary theory
based on a process called natural selection. In short, natural
selection is the process in which traits that make it more likely for
an organism to survive and successfully reproduce become more common in
an organism's population over the course of several generations. Darwin
claimed only the fittest organisms on the Earth would continue to
evolve and survive over long periods of time. Of course, what he was
talking about was an…

I know you have taken the last installment of this article and really
tried to embrace the information I provided. Now I am going to make the
process a little easier for you by giving you some tips for the
practical application of the low glycemic carb and protein concept.
First I am going to talk about good carbohydrate selection. Then I am
going to discuss protein's role in your daily meals and finally I will
talk a little about the meals that are a staple in my own personal diet.

Yes don't panic I will post about the trip to Australia. Soon.
It's 12.39am. I can't sleep. I am watching infomercials. I ate some Pirate's Booty and had some hot chocolate in lactose free milk but still awake! I don't want to take any drugs so I am just accepting the fact that I am awake for now.
I spent the last week in Australia. Doing my vegetarian thing. Easy! After talking with my mum and cousins I am trying out a special eating regime for the next two weeks - going gluten free.…

As you may remember from my resting metabolic rate post, losing weight
is a little more complicated than it sounds. We're simply told to move
more, eat less and it we'll be happy as a lark with our results, right?
A couple days ago I told you if you don't eat enough calories you'll
actually slow your metabolism and curb your fat loss. This
physiological fact is important and complicates the weight loss process
a bit more. Now I am going to share with you the importance of
consuming low glycemic…

Spring is in the air, which means it's that time of year again....yes, I do mean wedding season and babies in bloom!!! Don't you feel that all of the baby showers and bridal showers you have been to lately are one in the same?... a bunch of ladies get together, have lunch, play some silly games, and watch as the person of honor opens presents. It's time for us to get out of this traditional shower rut and try something new and unique.

So tonight I did something that was completely out of my comfort zone. I signed up for and actually attended a face to face get together with not only the creators of SCV Moms Blog but also other mothers that are participants in this website.
I will start by saying that anyone that has had the opportunity to go to one of these get togethers and not gone because you maybe felt you didn't belong or that you would be made to feel that way...big mistake...BIG BIG mistake. I can say

I'm becoming a slave to the cause of potty training. Alana's doctor advised me to take her to the potty every hour. So far we are on our fifth consistent day and she's only gone to the bathroom MAYBE four times. We are constantly in the bathroom. I'm beginning to think we should just spend all of our time in there. Play time, meal time, and nap time...I could turn the bathtub into a nice comfy bed. And Alana could read, play her keyboard or color while she's on the potty. I could set up littl
