Hello everyone. I love to read science fiction/fantasy, adventure and mysteries. Just finished R.A. Salvatore's collections. I'm a big fan of James Rollins, Patterson, and Matthew Reilly. Any suggestions?? I would love to chat with those who have the same preferences.

Hi, I'm new to the group but I love to read! We just had a book signing event in our store this past Thursday night. Come to the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival April 24 and 25, stop into the venue we'll be running as a community partner, The Buckaroo Book Shop. There will be 32 authors and storytellers appearing there over the 2 days. The children's authors will be reading their stories aloud and signing books afterwards.

Great Idea...I am up for reading anything....I have the lipstick jungle sitting on my shelf and it hasnt been opened yet so I would ok starting with that one but whatever anyone wants to read is good with me....

Honestly I read those books back in 2001 or so (college years) All I do remember is that I enjoyed reading them and I wouldn't mind reading them again either. I read the Nanny Diaries back then too, and loved the movie when it finally came out. I haven't read the 2nd one yet. I'm caught up in Reading Lolita in Tehran. Maybe we can get a group of gals that want to read one of Candace Bushnell's books or one of the Nanny books. What do you think?

I also read the Candace Bushnell books...what did you think of Four Non Blondes? I actually like most of her books. Did you like the Nanny books?

Just read the Nanny Books... they were both really good. I still think that a book club needs to be formed any ideas?????
As for the Nanny Books, I will say, without giving anything away, I enjoyed reading the first one better than the second. After you read yours let me know what you think...maybe you will have a different take on it than I did...:-)

Right now I am reading, Reading Lolita in Tehran. But I love reading from any types of genres. I have read all the books written by Candace Bushnell including, Sex and the City and Four Blondes. I have also read Nanny Diaries, and am looking forward to reading Nanny Returns soon.

I am a member of two book clubs right now... one of them I started myself about 6 years ago and we're still going strong. We read all different types of books so if you need any ideas, let me know. I'm reading two books right now (yes, I read multiple books at a time). One is "House Rules" by Jodi Picoult. This is her latest book that came out last week. The other book is "Worst Case" by James Patterson. I'd love to hear what everyone else is reading.
